Animating & Activating Space

Project Lead: Lee Tomes,
Creative Company CIC

In recent years Leicester has undergone an impressive development programme which has helped create a critical mass of arts and cultural venues as well as a place for new creative sector businesses to start up and thrive. How do we build on this success and open up public spaces in fun and vibrant ways to ensure culture is accessible to all? The challenge? To ‘activate’ and drive footfall into untapped areas of the City using physical and/or digital touch points. Think Living Walls, Sculptures, Installations, Festivals, Pop Up Shops.
